Fairlee Murder-Suicide Suspect Had History Of Domestic Violence

Vermont State Police have identified the two people dead in a possible murder-suicide in Fairlee.

Police say they found 45-year-old Troy Gray and 43-year-old Rhonda Gray dead at a Sunset Drive residence Tuesday morning after a family member living there reported hearing gunshots.

Police say a preliminary review of the evidence indicates that Troy Gray shot Rhonda Gray and then himself.

Authorities say Troy Gray had a history of domestic violence. He was arrested last month on a domestic assault charge and released on conditions him prohibiting from harassing Rhonda Gray, possessing weapons and entering the home.

Police say they were called to the home Monday for a report that Troy Gray was there in violation of his release conditions but Rhonda Gray said he had not violated the terms.
