A lawyer representing a woman charged with killing a St. Johnsbury teacher is trying once again to be removed from her case.
Patricia Prue, along with her husband, Allen Prue, are accused of abducting and killing Melissa Jenkins after luring her from her home in March 2012. Both have pleaded not guilty.
Judge Mary Miles Teachout has already denied requests from Patricia Prue and lawyer, Marc Eagle, to assign a new lawyer. The Caledonian Record reports Eagle has renewed his request, saying he now has a conflict because he just learned that one of his former clients is a witness the state plans to bring in the case against Prue.
A hearing on the request will be held Friday.
