A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison in Vermont after being convicted of conspiracy to sell the prescription painkiller oxycodone.
Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Andrew Williams also has been ordered to serve three years of supervised released after prison.
The U.S. attorney's office says an investigation by Rutland police and federal drug enforcement agents found that Williams had supplied a Rutland area dealer with several thousand oxycodone pllls. Federal drug agents used an informant to arrange a oxycodone purchase from Williams in White River junction, where he was arrested last year.
