The Burlington School District is hoping to buy, sell and lease several city properties.
The school board is seeking to buy the old St. Joseph School for $2 million. That’s a Catholic School that has closed.
Burlington Schools says the purchase and renovation of the school would be covered by proceeds from selling a school administration building on Colchester Avenue to the University of Vermont for $2 million and leasing the Taft School in a long-term deal to the university.
The City Council now must approve the deal for it to move forward.
