A Rutland man is due in court to face charges in a fatal hit and run crash that killed a pedestrian last month.
Christopher Sullivan, a former city attorney, has been charged with drunken driving and leaving the scene of a crash, both with death resulting.
The accident on the night of April 17 killed 71-year-old Mary Jane Outslay who was crossing the street.
Police were contacted the next day by an attorney for Sullivan saying he owned the vehicle involved in the crash.
Sullivan is expected to be arraigned on Thursday afternoon.
