Sucka Punch: Graffiti Jam
Sucka Punch: Graffiti Jam
Graffiti, the first and oldest element of hip-hop, is a people’s art based in storytelling through modern hieroglyphs, bold letters, vibrant colors, and abstract expressions. Sucka Punch brings that energy to a three-day festival you didn’t see coming!
-Live painting by local and regional graffiti writers and artists
-Family-friendly art activities, drop-in workshops, and demonstrations
-Community mural wall
-DJs spinning all weekend
-Block party on Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
…and so much more!
The event begins during Brattleboro’s first-Friday Gallery Walk 5-9 p.m., and continues through the weekend—Saturday 12-9, and Sunday 12-4.
Sucka Punch: Graffiti Jam is presented in partnership by Juniper Creative Arts, Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, and Stone Arch Properties. The program is generously supported by a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation‘s Arts & Social Cohesion Fund.
The event takes place at 11 Arch Street, Brattleboro VT, and is free and open to the public.
