KCP Presents: Parsons Dance
KCP Presents: Parsons Dance
The KCP Presents Performing Arts Series welcomes Parsons Dance to Lyndon Institute, on March 28th, at 7:00. Known for their remarkable athleticism and stunning ensemble work, Parsons Dance brings exuberance, joy and passion to any stage.
Called bold, miraculous, and spellbinding, by Broadway World, Parsons Dance flawlessly fuses the gestures and movements that comprise modern dance with the discipline and precision of a classical dance company. They are internationally renowned for works like the iconic “Caught,” exemplifying their trademark innovation and huge audience appeal.
Artistic Director and founder David Parsons enjoyed a remarkable career as a performer with Momix and Paul Taylor Dance Company before creating over 70 works for his own company. He has received commissions from American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Jacob’s Pillow, Spoleto Festival, and more. In 2007, he became the first contemporary choreographer ever to stage work at the centuries-old Arena di Verona in Italy. Jennifer Dunning of The New York Times called Parsons “one of the great movers of modern dance.”
“This is a ‘dance your heart out’ (at all times, no excuses) kind of enterprise,” writes The New York Times about Parsons Dance.
Bringing big city talent to Vermont’s small towns, the KCP Presents Performing Arts Series has scheduled 11 professional touring acts through spring of 2026, including dance, circus, comedy, and music from around the world. Tickets for KCP Presents 2025-26 shows, including early bird discounts, are on sale now.
