Randolph is one of the most talented, accomplished and successful saxophonists of the 20th century.
He has released over 40 albums of instrumentals during a career that has extended more than a half century.
As a session musician in Nashville, Randolph played sax on major hits by Brenda Lee, Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley.
His signature song, "Yakety Sax" became the theme song of British comedian Benny Hill's TV show.
