Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan "electrifying" performance at the Newport Folk Festival, and appreciating the far-reaching influence of Theodore Bikel, actor and folksinger, who died this week at the age of 91.

This program will air on Sunday July 26th from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

Bramblewood, featuring Carol Hausner, Danny Coane, & Colin McCaffrey, will perform in the Christ Church Courtyard, 64 State Street in Montpelier on Thursday,July 30th at noon.

Vermont guitarist Raphael Groten will hold a CD release party at the Sacred Mountain Studio in Burlington on Friday July 31st from 7-10 p.m.

The Joe Hill 100 Roadshow, featuring folk musicians Charlie King, Magpie, and George Mann as well as the local duo Anything Goes will do their only Vermont performance at the Old Labor Hall in Barre on Friday July 31st. Music begins at 7:30.

Jeremiah McLane will perform with Sarah Blair and Owen Marshall at the Martha Pellerin & Andy Shapiro Memorial Bandstand in Middlesex on Wednesday July 29th. Music begins at 7pm with a special performance by Nikki Matheson and Kristina Stykos.

Snake Mountain Bluegrass and the Connor Sisters will be at Brandon Music on Country Club Rd. in Brandon on Saturday August 1st at 7:30 p.m.

The Bluegrass Gospel Project will perform on the Lebanon, NH village green on Thursday July 30th at 7 p.m., and there is also a rain site!

The Tweed River Music Festival will be happening in Waitsfield from July 31st – August 2nd.  Featured acts include Bow Thayer, Waylon Speed, Caitlyn Canty, and many many more.

The Inner Fire District wraps up their reunion tour with a show at the Radio Bean Lamp Shop in Burlington on Tuesday July 28th at 10:30 p.m. 

Ray Bonneville will be playing at the Café Lena in Saratoga Springs on Sunday August 2nd.

Freight House Hall in White River Junction presents the New Riders of the Purple Sage on Friday July 31st at 8 p.m.

Dave Keller will be performing with Brother Bob White, a Kansas City gospel singer, at Sweet Melissa’s in Montpelier on Saturday August 1st at 8pm and at the United Methodist Church in Danville on Sunday August 2nd.

Okemo’s Jackson Gore summer music series presents the Chris Kleeman Band on Friday July 31st beginning at 6 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
