Each year, the Librarian of the Library of Congress designates 25 recordings for inclusion in the National Recording Registry. According to the provisions of the National Preservation Act of 2000, these recordings must be at least 10 years old and are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." This week, My Place presents the concluding part two of a series in which many of the latest 25 selections are presented and their significance discussed. Memorable recordings by Joan Baez, Sweet Emma Barrett and the Doors are among the selections included.
