During the entire decade of the 1960's, drummer Benny Benjamin played on countless recordings released by Berry Gordy Jr.'s Motown family of record labels, including many of the company's biggest and most memorable hit singles. Benny Benjamin is a charter member of the legendary "Funk Brothers" Motown studio house band, which has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This week Joel Najman's My Place program tells the story of Benny Benjamin, complimented by fifteen of the classic Motown hits on which he performed.
