Fadistas, St. Patrick, and Sardinian Throat Singers !

Another glorious hodgepodge of music from Vermont and around the world, with a special preview of the Tenores de Aterue, a wild quartet from Williamstown, MA who will be performing in Montpelier and Burlington next week, and that specializes in Sardinian four-part harmonies, sometimes with throat singing!

The Walkover concert room in Bristol presents Vermont artist Kristina Stykos  on Saturday, March 22nd at 8:00 p.m.  Kristina will be performing with
Boston singer-songwriter Steve Mayone and fiddler Patrick Ross.

Tim McKenzie will perform at the Good Times Café in Hinesburg on Sat. March 22nd at 8:30pm

Old Songs will present Paul McKenna on Fri. March 21st at 8:00 p.m. at 37 South Main Street, Voorheesville, NY.

The Salt River Review will be playing in Proctorsville on Sat. March 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Church---part of the Raise the Roof concert series.

The After Dark Music Series presents Chris Smither on Sat. March 22nd  at the Town Hall Theater, South Pleasant St., Middlebury. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the concert is at 8:00 p.m.

A New Acoustic Music Concert Series in Hartland, VT will present  Becky Tracy and Keith Murphy in Concert on Sat. March 22nd at 7:30 p.m. at the First Universalist Society in Hartland Four Corners

Tenores de Aterúe, a male quartet that specializes in cantu a tenore, a traditional song form from Sardinia, will be performing at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier on Sat. March 22nd, and at New City Galerie in Burlington on Sun. March 23rd. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Red Hot Juba will perform Thurs. March 20th at the Rusty Nail in Stowe and on Sat. March 22nd at the Monkey House in Winooski.

Scott Ainslie will perform in the main reading room of the Brooks Public Library in Brattleboro on Fri. March 21st at 7:30 p.m.

Miles To Go, an eclectic Celtic band based in Hartland, is playing on the evening of St Patrick’s Day, Mon. March 17th, at the Common Man Restaurant in Claremont NH.

John and Ida Mae Specker will present a Concert of Traditional American Fiddle and Banjo Music at the Andover, VT, Town Hall on Sat. March 22nd from 2:00-4:00 p.m. All are Welcome and Admission is free.

Wooden Dinosaur will hold a CD release party for their new recording Rhubarb Wine on Sat. March 22nd at the Skinny Pancake in Burlington.  Music begins at 9:00 p.m.

On Fri. March 21st Atlantic Crossing will perform  at the Brick Church series in Williston.

Rachel Clark and Bob DeMarco, also known as Blackbird, will perform traditional Celtic and Scandinavian music as well as tunes of their own creation at Brandon Music  on Sat. March 22nd at 7:30 p.m.

On Sat. March 22nd, the Café Lena in Saratoga Springs presents Fennig’s All Star String Band at 8:00 p.m.

The trio Brother Sun will perform at the Meetinghouse Café of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bennington on March 21. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
 
The Whallonsburg Grange will host Wild Spirits: Songs and Stories of Remarkable Adirondack Women on Fri., March 21st at 7:00 p.m. Acclaimed Adirondack singer-songwriter Peggy Lynn and author and storyteller Sandra Weber will perform.

The UVM Lane Series presents Trinidadian fusion artists Kobotown on Fri. March 21st at the UVM recital hall in Burlington at 7:30 p.m.
