My Place: Pete Seeger

Pete Seeger plays his banjo in May, 2006 in Beacon, N.Y

Folksinger and activist Pete Seeger passed away on January 24, 2014 at age 94. My Place traces the legacy of Pete Seeger with the music that made him the premier folklorist of his generation.

Some of the featured artists and groups include The Kingston Trio, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary, Judy Collins, The Almanac Singers and Pete himself.

Joel has been a part of Vermont's radio scene since 1964. He began his career at WIPS in Ticonderoga, New York. In 1965, he moved to WFAD in Middlebury, Vermont, where he attended Middlebury College. Over the years, Joel worked at radio stations WJOY, WQCR, WDOT, WDEV and WVAA where he served at various times as Morning Announcer, Program Director and News Director.
