Our Waterbury Art Hound, Tom Stevens, called to suggest a holiday concert full of traditional and non-traditional songs and carols this weekend.

The Waterbury Community Choir, under the direction of Ann Harvey, will perform at this free event at the Congregational Church in Waterbury Center, Vermont.

Peter Morris, past chair of the Vermont Arts Council, called the VPR Art Hounds hotline to recommend an all-Beethoven performance at the Congregational Church in Burlington, Vermont, in January.

The Ariel Quartet (pictured) performs as part of the six-concert Beethoven Cycle. Mark your calendars and get tickets now, as there is limited seating at this venue.

According to the website, the quartet of late-20-somethings, has made it a goal to publicly perform the Beethoven cycle before the members turn 30.

And Chris Heldt from Bromont, Quebec, Canada, called the VPR Art Hounds hotline with a recommendation to visit the salon of contemporary craft-arts called, Rock Paper Scissors.

The event continues through December 16th at The Cultural Center St. John from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m. Visit this site for more information and directions.

To become an Art Hound for VPR, fill out the form, then call the Art Hounds Hotline at (802) 778-9585 to record your recommendation.
