It now appears very likely that both the state of Vermont and the federal government are going to launch performance audits into the rocky roll-out of the state’s new health care exchange. The Vermont Senate has given preliminary approval to a bill that would grant immunity from professional conduct charges for doctors and other health professionals if they pursued a hotly debated course of treatment for Lyme disease.
