There’s a good chance that Vermont’s primary election date is going to be moved to the middle of the summer. That’s because officials at the Department of Justice say Vermont’s current date at the end of August is in violation of federal law. Eleven days into the Chittenden County Transportation Authority drivers’ strike, many residents in the Burlington area are improvising daily to get to work and school. One enterprising group of Burlington High School students have created a ride-share system connecting empty seats with students in need of a ride. Vermonters are being warned to stay off the ice on the state's lakes and ponds.
