Update 9/23/13: What a fun event! About 400 people turned out to enjoy ice cream, music, and sunshine to celebrate the last of summer. Thank you to the wonderful people of Plainfield for hosting us and for your phenomenal support of VPR! You'll find more photos at our Flickr page!
VPR staffers will be scooping Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Plainfield on Friday, September 20 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Plainfield Recreation Field.
Plainfield residents won this ice cream social for being the town with the highest percentage of contributions during our June membership drive, with 7.4% of the town's population supporting VPR!
All VPR listeners are invited to join in the celebration. In addition to ice cream, we'll have live music by Donna Thunder, the Plainfield farmers' market, and local food vendors, to thank Plainfield residents for their support of Vermont Public Radio.
The event is free and open to the public, so bring your friends and neighbors! See you there, rain or shine. You can RSVP to the event on Facebook (optional!).
Thank you so much for your support of VPR – we hope to see you there!
