With the Peacham Acoustic Music Festival and a summer concert in Calais featuring an all-star cast of Vermont folk musicians coming right up , it truly feels as if the summer music season is in full swing!
This program will air on Sunday, August 9th from 7 - 10 p.m.
This week's calendar announcements:
There will be a contra dance at the Tunbridge Town Hall on Friday August 14th at 7:30 p.m. All dances are taught, and new dancers are always welcome.
Evan Crandall and Too Hot to Handle will be playing at the Martha Pellerin/Andy Shapiro Memorial Bandstand in Middlesex on Wednesday August 12th at 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, August 16th at 4 p.m., the 17th Annual Calais Folk Concert will be held at the Old West Church in Calais. Franco American Folk singer Michèle Choinière performs with her eight-year-old daughter Isabella, Deb Flanders sings with her niece Esther Nemethy, Fiddler David Gusakov performs with his son Nate and Pete Sutherland performs with his protégé fiddler Oliver Scanlon. Vermont musicians John Dunlop and Laura Markowitz will also perform.
The Peacham Acoustic Music Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday August 14th and 15th . Featured performers include Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore, Skip Gorman, Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing, Pete’s Posse, the Green Mtn. Playboys, Alan Greenleaf, the Bayley Hazen Boys, and many more!
Jeremy Harple and the Aerolites will peform at Nectar’s in Burlington on Saturday evening August 14th.
The Jackson Gore Summer Music Series at Okemo presents Satin & Steel on Friday August 14th. Gates open at 5 p.m.
