About us

Brave Little State has been answering your questions about Vermont since 2016. Our mission is to make our journalism more inclusive, more transparent and more fun — an approach that has led to over 150 explorations of your most pressing, sometimes serious, sometimes silly questions. We’ve traveled to every corner of the state to tackle everything from mysterious road names and why people love Phish to the primary care crisis and Vermont’s overwhelming whiteness.

The show has been recognized with numerous regional and national awards, including a 2021 National Murrow Award for best podcast.
