Hanover Police have arrested a 22-year-old man from Lebanon, N.H. in connection with a shooting near the Dartmouth campus Friday night. Police say a 19-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot near the Christian Science Reading Room near Dartmouth college.
The Valley News reports the victim was not a Dartmouth College student. The school issued a campuswide alert around 10:15 p.m. Friday and advised the campus community to shelter in place. Dartmouth lifted its order just after midnight.
Hanover Police say the victim is in stable condition at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
