Ousted Newport City Council President Slams Fellow Aldermen

The ousted president of Newport City board of aldermen is not going quietly. John Wilson had some pointed words for his fellow aldermen at a meeting Monday night.

As reported by The Caledonian Record, "he accused them of making decisions outside the council room, lying, denigrating past councils and making snide comments toward others, including citizens and the Newport City Elementary School Board."
