A group of musicians in the Upper Valley have created a music streaming site called CaBallBreakeRadio that hopes to give overlooked singers and bands in Vermont and New Hampshire a better chance at being noticed.
Even widely recognized bands like Phish had to start out somewhere, facing the obstacles that go along with having a small, local following. And now in the Internet era, the challenges are a little bit different than they were 20 or 30 years ago. Among them is getting your music heard by a wider audience, and not just people who come to see you play live.
Jim Yeager, one of the founders of CaBallBreakeRadio, joined Vermont Edition to talk about the new streaming service.
