Analysis: Tax Proposals Facing The Vermont Legislature

Legislation introduced in both the House and Senate would increase the proportion of education resources going to districts with economically disadvantaged students. — VPR's Bob Kinzel joined "Vermont Edition" to talk about some of the tax proposals facing the Vermont Legislature this session.

It’s the time in the Legislative session when lawmakers are set to make some important decisions about taxes. This year, there are a number of big tax policy questions under consideration.

VPR’s Bob Kinzel joined Vermont Edition to talk about some of the tax proposals, which will bring in revenue needed for a variety of issues facing the state, including closing the budget gap, dealing with the Medicaid cost shift, helping clean up Lake Champlain, property tax reform and more.
