If your house is in a flood zone, you may have noticed your flood insurance rates going up. Last week the Senate sent a bill to President Obama’s desk that would change that. The Homeowners Flood Insurance Affordability Act, expected to be signed into law this week, repeals an earlier law which had raised flood insurance premiums to try to get the National Flood Insurance Program out of debt.
