The town of Richmond has been celebrating all year long! This is the 200th anniversary of the iconic Old Round Church in Richmond.
The church opened in 1813, but by the early 1970's, the building was in a state of decay and was condemned by the fire marshal. At the time, the Richmond Historical Society was formed and funds were raised to repair the church. It reopened in the early 1980s.
As the Round Church closed for the season, Vermont Edition recently visited the church to learn about some special features of the building.
