When forest fires burn large, firefighters from around the country may be called in to help. Chris Casey is one of them. He normally works with the Green Mountain and Fingerlakes National Forests but he’s also a firefighter on the Rockies Wildland Fire Management team. He just returned last week from the Beaver Creek Fire in Wisdom, Montana.
He spoke with Vermont Edition about what it feels like fighting a large fire.
