Time is running out to enter Vermont's moose hunting auction.
The state is auctioning off five moose hunting permits, with a minimum bid amount of $1,500.
Sealed bids must be received by Tuesday, August 21st at 4:30 p.m. The bids do not include the cost of a moose hunting permit or hunting license.
The winners of the auction get to pick one of several areas of the state open to moose hunting and can try to get a moose during the Oct. 1-7 archery season or the Oct. 19-24 regular season.
