Brandon Hones Pitch to Businesses

Vermont is a brand – and you will find it in Brandon. -Brandon Office of Economic Development

Thinking about starting or relocating a business? If so, the Town of Brandon wants to talk to you! This week the Brandon Office of Economic Development updated what it calls its Economic Development Toolbox. It's a list of resources available to business owners and potential business owners. It covers everything from the town's revolving loan fund to a primer on Act 250.

The toolbox starts out with this pitch:

Brandon, VT is a quintessential Vermont town with a remarkable history; diligently working to preserve that past and proactively planning for its future. We use the hard lessons we have learned from our first quarter-millennium to assure that our next 250 years will be both vibrant and resilient. We are conveniently located midway between Rutland, Vermont’s second largest city and Middlebury, an important cultural center with a cost-of-living substantially below those of our two nearest neighbors.

In addition to business resources, the toolbox also provides an up-to-date list of available business properties both within and outside Brandon's Designated Downtown.  To help promote the businesses that do choose to locate in Brandon, the town takes the unusual step of including a complete business directory on its website.
