Lt. Gov. Phil Scott has appointed Rachel Feldman to replace his outgoing chief of staff, Nancy Driscoll.
Monday's announcement follows the news last week that Driscoll was moving on to become the state's chief marketing officer in the Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
Feldman currently serves as the web and communications manager at the Vermont Arts Council, a position she’s held since 2012, when she returned from a yearlong fellowship teaching English in Israel.
Feldman previously worked in Vermont journalism as a reporter and copy editor at The Barre-Montpelier Times Argus and as a producer and reporter at WCAX-TV.
The job in Scott's office paid $52,000 as of last year.
