Authorities say a swimmer is missing after he was swept down the New Haven River during a storm that moved through northern Vermont.
Officials tell the Burlington Free Press the call came in just before 3 p.m. Thursday in Bristol. A swift-water rescue team searched for the man into the late afternoon before a storm halted the search.
A barrage of storms have led to flooding that closed roads and damaged property in recent days. The recently rebuilt Route 100 suffered damaged in Wednesday's storms.
