New Law Addresses Equal Pay For Women

A court ruling and a new law are two developments this spring that strengthen the chances that Vermont women will be paid the same as men who doing similar jobs.  Nationwide and in Vermont, women statistically earn lower wages and salaries than men for the same work.

Carey Brown is the executive director of the Vermont Commission on Women.  She spoke with Vermont Edition about the problem and how Vermont is trying to correct it

Jane Lindholm is the host, executive producer and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids.
