Organizers say they're expecting thousands of organized labor activists and others to descend on the Vermont Statehouse for a May Day march and rally.
The day will also include family-friendly activities, live music, and other activities.
The event is expected to begin at 11 a.m. with a health screening clinic that will be followed by the march that will begin at noon on the Statehouse lawn.
At 12:45 the schedule calls for speakers from Migrant Justice and the Vermont Center for Independent Living.
Organizers say May 1st is both a celebration of organizations' accomplishments and a recommitment to what they say is holding Vermont lawmakers accountable to implementing human rights in the state.
