Susie Francy is heading to Lawrence University next year, and reflects on her recent work for this month's Student Composer Showcase.

Susie Francy is a recent graduate from Leland and Gray, and July’s featured composer for VPR Classical's Student Composer Showcase.Susie's piece Adventure at the Arabian Carnival tells a tale of mistaken identity and adventure.

Broadcast Wednesday, July 5 at 8:30 a.m.; Friday, July 7 at 4 p.m.; Saturday, July 8 at 9 a.m.

Performers were Chris Rivers, Jason Whitcomb, trumpets; Joy Worland, French horn; Lori Salimando Porter, trombone; Bill Keck, tuba; percussionists Andy Gagnon, and Evan Peltier; Tim Woos, piano.
