It's been 100 years since the 19th Amendment was ratified, which gave women in the United States the right to vote. This hour, we speak with a panel of women about the history of women's suffrage, nationally and specifically in Vermont. We also look at how it has evolved, progressed and regressed in the last century.
Our guests are:
- Rachel Onuf, director of the Vermont Historical Records Program
- Tabitha Moore, director of the NAACP, Rutland branch
- Sue Racanelli, director of the Vermont Suffrage Centennial Alliance and director of the League of Women Voters of Vermont
Broadcast live on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at noon. Rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
