Former Vice President Joe Biden, now officially the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, leads a video conversation on health care with members of the public during the second night of the Democratic National Convention.

The coronavirus pandemic means both Republican and Democratic party conventions are going virtual this year: speeches given online, socially-distant or online-only events, and no chance for delegates to gather on the convention floor to make their voices heard. Our guests are:

  • Mia Costaassistant professor at Dartmouth's Department of Government
  • Matt Dickinson, political science professor at Middlebury College
  • Ted Kohn, dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Norwich University

Broadcast live on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
