Many teachers have expressed concern for the different learning models released by schools in the last few weeks and the guidance put out by the state.

With less than a month to go before the start of the school year, some Vermont teachers have deep concerns about returning to their classrooms, and many feel like their voices aren't being heard in the debate over how to safely get Vermont children educated. This hour, a panel of teachers from around the state join us to talk through their plans, concerns, hopes and fears for the new school year.

Our guests are:

  • Amy Braun, kindergarten and first grade teacher at Rochester Elementary School
  • Joe Carroll, Latin and philosophy teacher at Montpelier High School
  • Eric Hutchins, social studies teacher at Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park
  • Kate LaBelle, physical education teacher at Rutland Intermediate School

Broadcast live on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at noon. Rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
