This week's calendar announcements:

There will be a house concert in E. Montpelier featuring Quebecois musicians Alexis Chartrand and Nicolas Babineau on Saturday, September 21st at 7 p.m.  For reservations and information: contact Tracy Loysen at 223-1234 or taloysen@aol.com.

The Zeichner Trio plays Traditional Irish and Appalachian Music at The Skinny Pancake at the Burlington waterfront on Friday, Sept. 20th from 7-9 p.m.

Singer and story-teller Jack DesBois was one of the first recipients of the Flanders Award for Traditional Vermont Music in 2018 sponsored by the Vermont Folklife Center.  He’ll be performing a concert on Thursday, September 19th at 7:30-at Studio A , 294 N. Winooski Ave in Burlington.

On Friday September 20th the Swedish folk band SVER will be presenting a Swedish fiddle/ tune workshop and concert at Tourterelle in New Haven, just south of junction of US Rte 7 and VT Rte 17. This is part of an event also featuring Moira Smiley & Nathan Wallace Gusakov called the Epic Little Folk Festival, with music beginning at 7:30pm.

Contemporary folk singer-songwriter Lara Herscovitch will be presenting an intimate
matinee performance on Sunday, September 22 at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge
Street in Bellows Falls. Multi-instrumentalist Scott MacDonald
opens. Door at 2:00 PM, music at 3:00. Lara will also be performing at Brandon Music on Saturday September 21st.

Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph is pleased to announce Darlingside on the Main Stage at the Chandler on Friday, September 20th at 7:30 p.m.

O’hAnleigh will be playing at the Music Box in Craftsbury on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 7 p.m.

Woodchuck's Revenge will perform at the Ludlow Farmer's Market on  Friday, September 20th at  4 p.m.

Unitarian Universalist Church of the Upper Valley in Norwich presents David Wilcox on Friday September 20th - music begins at 7:30 pm.

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
