The Young'Uns, a stellar a capella trio from nothern England

British vocal superstars The Young'uns visit the Whallonsburg, NY Grange hall on their first US tour, alcoholic blues and heartbreak, and Spanish and Portuguese divas for starters.   

This program will air on Sunday August 18th from 7-10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

The 38th annual Vergennes Day celebration will feature the music of Pete Sutherland and Oliver Scanlon and also Mark Lavoie on Saturday August 24th

The Boston-based folk band Noble Dust will be appearing with local heroes Cricket Blue at ArtsRiot in Burlington on Tuesday August 20th.

Mayfly will be playing at 10am at the  One River Festival in Lincoln on Sunday, August 25th

 Vermont violinist and singer-songwriter Emma Beck will perform at the Montgomery Center for the Arts on Friday, August 23rd at 7pm

Brandon Music presents NYC singer songwriter Kimberly Townsend on Friday August 23rd 

Award-winning UK folk trio The Young'uns will perform at the Grange Hall in Whallonsburg, NY on Friday, August 23rd

Full Circle will present a program of Celtic Lads and Lasses at Grace Church, Sheldon, VT on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7:00 pm, and at Goodsell Ridge Barn, Isle LaMotte on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 2:00 pm.

Beg Steal or Borrow will be playing August 24’th at the Oxbow Music Festival in Morrisville

Saturday, August 24: David Rosane and the Zookeepers & The Oleo Romoeos (Benefit for Bakersfield and Fairfield libraries) will perform at the Old Meeting House in East Fairfield.

Patti Casey and the Wicked Fine Players will be at Templeton Farm in East Montpelier on Wednesday August 21st.

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
