Bert Johnson, a political science professor at Middlebury College, joins Vermont Edition to talk about how enfranchisement in Vermont has changed in ways both similar to and different from the nation as a whole.

Montpelier Mayor Anne Watson shares how the City of Montpelier is moving forward with efforts to let non-citizen residents of the city have limited input on local issues like roads and city spending.

And NHPR reporter Casey McDermott discusses the nearly 60 tweaks to New Hampshire voting laws, from pending bills to new laws to the lawsuits challenging them.
