All week on Vermont Edition, we bring you interviews with the candidates for U.S. Senate, starting with the seven-term Democratic incumbent Patrick Leahy.
Leahy first won election to the U.S. Senate in 1974 and is currently the chamber's senior-most member. We'll ask Leahy to define his positions on key domestic and foreign policy questions facing the U.S. Senate, and to make his case for an eighth term in office.
Listen throughout the week for interviews with Leahy's challengers: Peter Diamondstone of the Liberty Union Party, Republican Scott Milne and independent Jerry Trudell. (Note: Cris Ericson of the U.S. Marijuana Party did not reply to a request for an interview.)
Broadcast live on Monday, October 10, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
