We welcome in October with angelic voices,  some classic blues, and loads of local music.

This program will air on Sunday, October 2nd from 7-10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

The Kate McNally Trio will be performing some topnotch Celtic music at an intimate concert at the Vermont Violin Shop in Burlington on Thursday October 6th at 6 p.m.
 
The Franklin Harvest Hoedown, an autumn celebration with contra dancing, will be held at the Franklin, VT town hall on Saturday October 8th at 7 p.m.  Luke Donforth will be the caller, and Kerry Boyle, Jesse Alexant and friends will provide the music.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem at the newly-renovated and accessible Next Stage in Putney on Friday,October 7th at 7:30 p.m. Rani and Daisy Mayhem will also be performing at the Richmond Congregational Church on Sunday  October 9th at 4 p.m.

Willa Mamet and Paul Miller will be performing some rare local gigs this month, including Saturday October 8th  at Positive Pie in Plainfield, SundayOctober 9th  at Catamount Arts in St Johnsbury, and Thursday Oct 13th at the Whammy Bar in Calais.

National fingerstyle guitar champion Muriel Anderson will be playing at the Good Times Café in Hinesburg on Tuesday October 11th at 8:30 p.m.

Hot Flannel will be performing at 3 local shows this week, on Friday October  7th at the 7 Stars Center in Sharon, on Saturday October 8th at Damon Hall in Hartford, VT, and on Sunday the 9th at the Tunbridge Town Hall.  The Tunbridge show is at 3pm, and the shows in Sharon and Hartford begin at 7 p.m.

Tim Cummings and Jeremiah McLane will be playing at a CD release party at Artistree in South Pomfret on Friday October 7th at 7:30 p.m. For reservations and more info: music@artistreevt.org

De Temps Antan will be performing at the Barre Opera House on Friday October 14th .  They will also be playing at the Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH on Saturday October 15th 

Red Baraat will be playing at Nectar’s in Burlington on Friday October 7th.

Dana and Susan Robinson will be in concert at the Cabot Town Hall on Sunday, October 16th at 3 p.m. 

Art Garfunkel will perform at the Flynn Center in Burlington on Thursday October 13th and at the Lebanon NH opera house on Saturday October 15th. 

The Guy Mendilow Ensemble will be presented by the UVM Lane Series at the UVM Recital Hall on Saturday October 15th. 

Beausoleil will perform at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph on Saturday October 15th.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
