Young Writers Project: Lightning Bug Kisses

Erin Bundock, 18, of Shelburne is a writer and artist who is working this summer as an intern with Young Writers Project. This poem is accompanied by a “frisket,” a multi-layered painting that she created starting with one line and building on it. ";s:

Lightning Bug Kisses

She's sweeter than 
lightning bug kisses,
or dandelion wishes on a Sunday afternoon.
She's the moon's child,
caught here until she finds
her return address on one of the fallen stars.
