On Tuesday morning in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders made an announcement that many people have been waiting for. He endorsed rival Hillary Clinton for the nomination.
Sanders highlighted many of his key issues that he said Clinton will support. And he made it clear, "We are joining forces to defeat Donald Trump!"
We speak with Bert Johnson, chair of the Middlebury College political science department, and VPR's Bob Kinzel about what went into Sanders' decision, what impact it might have, how his supporters will react, and what role Sanders will play in the general election.

Also on the program, the newly revamped Vermont Mozart Festival has a different business model, which includes young musicians who are being taught business skills along with the music. They'll be performing three weekends of concerts, starting later this month. Michael Dabroski, leader of the Festival tells us about the concert series.
Plus, we hear from Anna Scoppettone who just graduated from Montpelier High School about a vocal work she composed for the Student Composer Showcase on VPR Classical.
