Thinking about Dave Swarbrick, one of the great English folk rock fiddlers, who passed on this week at the age of 75.  Also welcoming in June with music from Quebec, with a touch of classic jazz too.

This program will air on Sunday, June 5th from 7 - 10 p.m.

Lewis Franco & The Missing Cats will perform at Leunig’s in Burlington
On Saturday June 11th from 2 p.m.- 4:45 p.m.

Lewis Franco, Seth Herz, and Eric Small will play an evening of jazz standards at The Whammy Bar, Maple Corner, Calais, VT   Friday, June 10; 7:30pm

The Meeting House on the Green, in East Fairfield presents The Starline Rhythm Boys on Friday June 10th at 7pm

 On Sunday, June 12th at 7:00 PM the Monadnock Folklore Society will present a concert with Ari & Mia, Boston’s Americana sister act at the Nelson, NH Town Hall. 

Rani Arbo and Greg Ryan with special guest Bruce Jones will be performing at the Valley Players Theater in Waitsfield on Saturday June 11th at 8 p.m.

Gypsy Reel returns to Brandon Music on Saturday June 11th  at 7:30 p.m.   The venue is the Compass Music and Arts Center, 333 Jones Drive, Brandon.

Sun Dog Poetry presents “Poetry and Music at Fielder Farm,” an all-day celebration of lyrical arts, Saturday, June 11th, Fielder Farm in Huntington.  Workshops, presentations and performances by:  Pete Sutherland, Bill Ellis, Anima, Social Band, Michael Arnowit, Bill Drislane, Angela Patten, Steve Klimowski, Toss the Feathers and others.  Tickets and information can be found at sundogpoetry.org

The band Three Quarter North will be performing at the Meetinghouse Café in Bennington on Friday, June 10th. 

There will be a Contradance in Norwich on Saturday June 11th at Tracy Hall from 8-11 p.m.  featuring live music from Nova (Kathleen Fownes, fiddle; Guillaume Sparrow-Pepin, accordion and keyboard; Everest Witman, guitar and feet) and caller Luke Donforth.  Everyone is welcome – no partner or experience necessary.  Regular dance starts at 8.  Newcomers may arrive at 7:45 for a walk-through.  Please bring clean, soft-soled shoes for dancing.  

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
