Art Hounds: 'The Aliens,' 'Seussical' & Bluegrass

The Springfield Community Players will perform 'The Aliens' to open the company's 96th season.

This weekend is the Vermont Crafts Council Open Studios Weekend, plus you can catch several plays and performances on stage both this weekend and next.

Friday, May 27th at 7:30 p.m.: The 20-voice chorus House Blend sings in the Old Firehouse Concert Series in downtown Tinmouth. Recommended by Nelson Jaquay.

Friday through Sunday, May  27  to 29 and next weekendThe Aliens is onstage at the Springfield Community Players' Studio as part of its 96th season. Suggested by Meaghan Beamis.

Friday and Saturday, June 3 and June 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m.:  Lace Jury and Nocturne Titanica, Michael Nethercott's original one-act plays, will be performed at Guilford Center Stage. Recommended by Don McLean.

Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m 'Seussical The Musical,' at Memorial Hall in Wilmington. Recommended by Alan Greenspan.

Sunday, June 5 at 1 and 4 p.m.: The Dauphinais Brothers bluegrass benefit concert at the Mary Keane Chapel in the Shaker Museum on Route 4A in Enfield, New Hampshire, a benefit for the Enfield Public Library building fund. Suggested by Patty Hartenberg.
