Art Hounds: Arts Fair, 'Cinderella' & Upcycled Bicycles

The annual Bridge Street Arts Fair is Saturday, May 21 from 12 to 6 p.m. in Waitsfield.

VPR's Art Hounds have found an annual art fair in Waitsfield, youth dancers performing Cinderella in Johnson and a call-to-artists to create a sculpture from an old bike.

Saturday, May 21 from 12 to 6 p.m.: Bridge Street Art Fair in downtown Waitsfield, suggested by art teacher Nora McDonough in Waitsfield.

Saturday, May 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m.: Ballet Wolcott presents Cinderella at Dibden Center For The Arts at Johnson State College. Suggested by Raven Walters of Hyde Park.

Friday, May 27 at 7 p.m.: The Will Patton Quartet at the Meetinghouse On The Green in East Fairfield, part of the Summer Evenings With Vermont Treasures. Suggested by Jimmy Eichelberger from East Fairfield.

Saturday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m.: Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Jazz Concert at Memorial Hall in Wilmington. Suggested by Alan Greenspan of Wilmington.

Friday, June 3 at 5 p.m.: Deadline for submissions in the Catamount Arts and Kingdom Trails sculpture contest, UpCycle. Artists are urged to create sculpture from old bicycles for a chance to win a $1,000 grand prize as recommended by Frank Green of East Burke.
