Every year during the second weekend of May, Young Tradition Weekend showcases young performers of traditional music and dance. The weekend celebrates the talents of young musicians and dancers as well as the traditions that they perpetuate. Mentors, teachers, family and friends become the audience and young folks take center stage.
Some of the events include a contra dance with Queen City Contras on Friday May 13th and a Young Tradition Showcase and concert as well as an evening concert with Cricket Blue, Eric George, and Addie Herbert on Saturday May 14th.
