A preview of an upcoming folk music extravaganza at the Cafe Lena in Saratoga Springs, essential listening from some real Gypsy bands, blazingly fabulous acoustic guitarists, and much more!

This program will air on Sunday April 24th from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

The Freelance Family Singers of Woodstock will welcome spring with family friendly concerts to be held on SaturdayApril 30th at 7:00 P.M. and on Sunday May 1st at 3:00 P.M.   The chorus, directed by Ellen Satterthwaite, will perform at Woodstock's First Congregational Church.

Francesca Blanchard will be performing at the Good Times Café in Hinesburg on Saturday April 30th.

Cindy Kallet and Grey Larsen will give a house concert in Montpelier on Sunday, May 1st  at 7 p.m.  For reservations and information please email or call

The Rusty Nail in Stowe presents the Stowe Spring Shakedown on Saturday April 30th 
featuring The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band and Waylon Speed

Café Lena in Saratoga Springs presents a Folkathon on Friday April 29th and Saturday April 30th  Featured performers on Friday include Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Anne Hills, and Scott Ainslie, and on Saturday Tracy Grammer, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines, Cliff Eberhart, and many many more.

The Cabin Fever Series presents Pascal Gemme,Yann Falquet and Keith Murphy in concert. Saturday April 30th at 8 p.m. at the Walkover Concert and Listening Room, 15 Main St. in Bristol.

Bagitos in Montpelier presents their regular Irish session on Saturday April 30th  from 2 – 5 p.m., and Susie Smolen performing solo from 6 – 8 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
