The  Contra Dance at the Tinmouth Community Center on Friday March 18th beginning at 8 p.m. features live music by Shindy and calling by Mary Wesley.

Kristina Stykos and Susannah Blachly will be playing at the Whammy Bar in Calais on Thursday March 17th beginning at 7 p.m.

The 21st annual Burlington Irish Heritage Festival is happening from now through Friday March 18th. Highlights include Concerts, Traditional Music Sessions, Lectures & Cultural Programs, an Irish Genealogy Workshop, Children's Activities, our Festival Ceili with The McFadden Academy of Irish Dance, and a Showcase and Ceili with the UVM Celtic Cats Stepdance Club. They Might Be Gypsies will be performing on Friday March 18th at 7 p.m. at the Huntington Library in Huntington.

Dervish will be performing on the Flynn mainstage in Burlington on Thursday March 17th at 7:30 p.m.

Boston-area recorder player Emily O'Brien and English dance pianist Jacqueline Schwab will be playing at an English dance: from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday March 20th in Peterborough, NH at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture. Rich Jackson is the caller. Jacqueline and Emily will also be playing at a house concert that evening in Nelson, NH.  Reservations required – please call603 209 3304 for info and reservations.

P.M. Sundays at the Richmond Congregational Church presents the Bombadils on Sunday March 20th at 4 p.m.

Annie and the Hedonists will bring the blues to Bennington's Meetinghouse Cafe at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18th. 

Gypsy Reel

will be performing at the Sitting Bull Lounge at Okemo from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m. on Thursday March 17th and then at The Killarney, on Rt 103 in Ludlow at 7 pm. 
On Wednesday evening March 16th they will host their Irish Session at The Killarney from 6.30 – 9 p.m. and on Friday March 18th  at 7pm they are in concert at the Slate Valley Museum in Granville, New York. Then on Saturday March 19th at 4pm they will  be playing a special benefit concert for local  food pantries in Weston at the Old Parish Church. 

Patrick Ross’s Vermont Town Hall Tour continues this week with a performance at the Barnard Town Hall on Saturday March 19th. 

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
