Groundhog Day In Bulgaria !

A wild mix of Chicago blues, Bulgarian dance music, top-notch Irish instrumentals, and much more as we whirl and twirl our way into February.

This program will air on Sunday January 31st from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

The Michele Fay Band will be performing at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe VT on Saturday, February 6th at 7:30 p.m.

Father-son folk duo, David and Nate Gusakov, playing as Last Train to Zinkov, will be in concert at the Ripton Community Coffee House. Saturday, February 6th at 7:30 p.m

David Kaynor and George Wilson will perform at the Music Box in Craftsbury on Friday February 5th at 7:30 p.m.

Patti Casey and Steve Light will perform at the Palmer St. Coffeehouse in Plattsburgh on Friday February 5th.  Music begins at 7:30 p.m.

Vermont musician Brendan Taafe will perform at a house concert in Shelburne 
Wednesday February 3rd - 6pm potluck dinner (and desserts), 7pm music  intermission with desserts    rsvp jjames@cssu.org

New Orleans-style rhythm and Blues and traditional Mardi Gras songs will be featured when Matt Edwards, Jay Sager and Mike Lawrence perform at the Meetinghouse Cafe, in Bennington, onFeb. 7.at 3pm

On Sunday, February 7th from 4-7 pm 118 Elliot St. in Brattleboro will host a Balkan Café with live music by Tom Pixton and Yaron Shragai. Come join in the dancing, listen to the music or just hang out and have a good time! Easy, beginner-friendly dances will be scattered throughout the evening with light teaching. All levels welcome!
The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough, NH First Saturday Contra Dance on February 6th, featuring Dave Eisenstadter with the Free Raisins.The dancing begins at 8:00 PM. The dance also hosts a free jam session for beginning and intermediate musicians at 6:30 PM and a workshop for new dancers at 7:30 PM.
 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
